Expendables for Automotive: combined experience at the service of SMEs

Six musketeers from the independent aftermarket have joined forces to support the strategies of companies seeking assistance in effectively addressing change around the world. A ‘new wave’ consulting firm based on the pooling of the strengths of expert scouts in a changing market.

In September 2025, Jean-François Bouveyron, Dariusz Czarnecki, Nicolas de Gaudemont, Michael Söding and Domenico De Vito decided to pool their expertise and in-depth knowledge of the automotive aftermarket in the ‘Expendables for Automotive’ structure. All of them have worked as CEOs or executives at parts suppliers, recyclers, distribution groups, aftermarket retailers or pure players. Their credo: operational solutions and concrete results. “For a consultant, it is certainly interesting to think about a plan, but above all to implement it. The common thread between the six of us is that we are very operational. We are proactive consultants; we see the process through to the end and don’t just settle for delivering an audit!”, explains Nicolas de Gaudemont, the association’s ‘digital and circular economy’ specialist.

In agility mode

At EFA, each member contributes their area of expertise (management, logistics, purchasing, supply chain management, human resources, etc.) to enrich the range of services that can be offered to clients. “This enables us to off er 360° solutions, and then each of us can support the business leader in implementing them.” In practice, the EfA members, who are independent consultants, get together, identify the need, divide up the task and intervene independently. It is an agile model with no legal structure, with contracts signed by Jean-François Bouveyron’s company. This unique format is tailored to SMEs seeking ways to integrate all the changes they face: digitalisation, CSR policy, internationalisation, etc. Target customers: companies with turnover of between €50 million and €500 million; distributors, OEMs, suppliers, networks and even (Chinese?) manufacturers wishing to penetrate a market.
