Ki Mobility accelerates business

A young fleet at just 6.5 years old, 50 million vehicles on the road, including 45 million personal cars, in an aftermarket sector expected to top $25 billion by 2030! The Indian market is more than promising for the aftermarket, and particularly for independent workshops, which report a 53% penetration rate (44% for manufacturer networks, 3% under multi-brand banners).
The 100% digital, multi-brand concept devised by TVS Mobility, a vehicle distribution group (Ashok Leyland, Honda Cars India, Mahindra Truck & Bus, Renault India etc.) with sales of €2.86 billion, was born into this buoyant environment, although the company had been completely absent from the aftersales market prior to 2020. TVS Mobility launched Ki Mobility Solutions, a full-service* platform embodied in an application - MyTVS - based on predictive maintenance. It links up customers (professionals and private individuals) with over 1,000 franchised workshops connected to the system. But the platform also draws on 30,000 Indian partner workshops. “We're the only network of this size in the country, and we have over a million customers. Our sales are growing by 35% a year (€237 million in 2024). Via MyTVS and, more recently, MyTVS Insurance, with a partner insurer, we offer a comprehensive service in maintenance and collision repair, backed up by mobility services throughout the country”, explains G. Srinivasa Raghavan, creator of the concept and CEO of the group, and also Chairman of the Board of Directors at NEXUS Automotive International since June 2024.

AI-based diagnostics
Ki Mobility Solutions uses AI to diagnose the vehicle and generate tailored recommendations for the customer (estimated cost of repairs, value of the vehicle, cost of use, etc.). Data that is just as appetising to a greedy AI as it is to third parties such as insurers and other service providers interested in the millions of leads extracted by the platform. In the space of four years, Ki Mobility has already registered more than a million vehicles and is aiming for a market share of more than 10% over the next three years, securing its place as market leader.
Duplication of Ki Mobility abroad
G. Srinivasa Raghavan has found a strong ally within NEXUS Automotive International to help Ki Mobility grow via the Mobilion fund. India has served as an open-air cluster for the deployment of this unicorn, valued at more than €1 billion, three years after its creation. The vast Indian nation is fertile ground “for the deployment of N! Academy, for example, the first of its kind in India, to provide digital training and certification for workshops every year. But it's also the case for our partnership with the Marketparts platform and the connection that NEXUS enables us to make with the international suppliers who supply Ki Mobility. Today, 85 parts manufacturers, all NEXUS members, are listed in our e-catalogue,” emphasises the chairman of the board. This is a period of incubation before an international roll-out that has already begun in Asia, before being extended to the UK, Turkey and Africa, where pilot projects are currently being deployed. 'Ki Mobility is going to become the digital rallying point for any player wishing to digitalise its aftersales activities, just as we did for TVS. All we have to do is customise the concept to the specifications of each country. Ki Mobility is a business accelerator’, says G. Srinivasa Raghavan.
